American Blues - Is Here (1967 Blues-Rock)

Ok, peoeple's music philosophies vary so I will try to give info that is relative mainly to music collectors/60's 70's rock fans. This a hard psych album, rough around the edges w/ off the cuff touches of improvisation....yet concise enough not to get bored. The song "Melted Like Snow" is amazing. To me this album sounds like a combination of Elias Hulk, Seompi, and Fresh Blueberry Pancake (with the tonal qualities of Dusty Hill's voice). [Reviewer unknown]

Akarma CD reissue of the first album by this pre ZZ Top Texas psych band released in 1968. lt includes the infamous lunched out version of "If I Were A Carpenter" (from Endless Journey) as well as other gems such as "Melted Like Snow" Stunning rough edged acid blues psych with stoned guitar breaks and high volume mayhem that alternates with melodic, mellow trippyness. Essential stuff. Housed in a mini-gatefold LP sleeve.
